arrival and transportation
Train and bus stations in Wrocław are close to the center, so You can reach it on foot, you can also get tram or bus to Świdnicka street, Galeria Dominikańska or Grunwaldzki square. This way of travelling is quite cheap, but it can be burdensom during rush hour. Getting from an airport to the center is handy as well- because of newly created Wroclaw's beltway. Alternative for trams or buses can be city bikes ( which are fabulously cheap), or for longer distance - taxies, which don't have to be expensive - if you choose them carefully. Help

Wroclaw's gastronomic offer can satisfy everyone's needs: you will find here high-end cuisine from Itly, Spain, Poland, Mexico,Georgia... For not so refineds there are a lot of bars with cheap and fast food. Help

You can't complain about sufficient venues for drinking; depends on time of the day you can go to nice cofeteria for 'irish' coffee, during a lunch - to mood restaurant for glass of wine, after work you can go for a drink in modern club, and while you are having good time with your friendsyou can choose among plenty of drinks, coctails or polish and foreign beers. Gearing up for the Euro 2012, Wrocław seems half under construction. That said, after a few Piasts, watch your step so as not to trip and fall into some underground renovation. Drinking on the street is illegal in Poland but the police or city guards seem much less concerned about it in Wroclaw than they do in Krakow for example. Like elsewhere in Poland, Vodka is the most authentic alcoholic beverage so even if you are a beer drinker, you should try the vodka, preferably chilled. Help

Smoking was outlawed toward the end of 2010 in public places in Poland. Many clubs and bars have been able to designate and properly ventilate a section to have a smoking sections since then. You can spot the places that don't have a smoking section as the places where groups of people stand smoking outside in front of the venue. Help

Many junketers in Wroclaw start their evening from before party at home, in park or yard. Prepered in that way they are heading toward clubs. Popular destination is Pasaż Niepolda, where clubs are so close one another that it makes you want to check all of them during one night. Equally wide range of clubs with dance music you will find on main square and in closest vivinity. After intoxicating night you will probably meet many interesting and happy people in night bus. Alternatively you can stroll your way home, but it isn't always the savest option. Help

Rotation among Wroclaw's clubs is so big, that it is often hard to grasp. One club is closing, and then - in the same place is opening new one- the same in fact but with different name. Club in Wrocław
chiefly means one or two 'ballrooms' in underground, with similar music, prices, clientele. During week days don't expect a crowd of people inside. On Sutardays and sometimes Fridays or even Tursdays situation is utterly inversely- you will find it hard to get into best clubs in Wrocław, or just be prepared that you will be forcing your's way trough people dancing everywere. Newly popular has become clubbing, in other words to try to check as many clubs as you can during one night. What does it mean for you? Probably, even if you spend couple of hours in one place you won't meet the same person many times, and club will be filling and empting alternately. If you love deep base, heavier music and alternative sound we havn't good news for you. It is very hard to find venues with original ideas for themselves.

bar scene
Places, where you can sit and drink beer are maybe even more popular than dance clubs. There are plenty of pubs near to Wroclaw's academies,where from 9 am till 2 am dozens of students are going trough. If you are looking for something more exclusive- pubs and bars on the marketr square are at your service all day long . Help
live scene
Unfortunately you won't find place in Wroclaw, where you could listen to live music everyday (except main square with Gypsies, who can play specially for you and your diner for small amount of money). However there are some venues like bars or restaurants, where from time to time you can come across chamber concert or pianist playing his music. Help
